March 2011 - SIA “Latgran” gets certified according to three European standards
SIA “Latgran” management system was established in compliance with the requirements of international standards regarding quality, environmental safety, and labour protection and in March of 2011 the management system was certified. The obtained certificates are proving our determined care to ensure outstanding product quality and client satisfaction, to conserve environment, and to guarantee health and safety of the employees. “Bureau Veritas”, an international and independent globally recognised organisation, was invited to evaluate compliance of the operations of our company with international standards.

January 2011 - SIA “Latgran” receives the “The Golden Pine Cone” award
Since 2004, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Latvia has been organising the annual award ceremony “The Golden Pine Cone” in the forestry sector. “The Golden Pine Cone” is the highest recognition awarded annually for important achievements to benefit the industry.
This year, the award in nomination “Innovative entrepreneurship” was given to SIA “Latgran”. On 1 February 2011, the President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers met with the Award Winners of the Forestry Sector and with representatives of the sector and expressed gratitude in person for the contributions into development of the sector (see the photographs from the meeting here).
In accordance with the regulations of the annual award, in this nomination the award is granted to a legal entity, which has been operating in the sector for at least 3 years, for the most successful solution in developing and modernising the company, for introducing innovative technologies, including technologies conserving the environment, for producing new products, and for attracting investments over the course of last 2 years. |
